The annual pilgrimage to the NHRA Nationals East for some of the WSRA members starts on the Wednesday before the event, with a gathering at the Rosehill shopping center, in Thornwood, NY..... From there, the four hour trek begins.....

Once in York, it's clean up the cars, and get ready to ride over to WSRA Associate Member, Al Lariviere home in Lake Meade, PA. where Al, and wife Jane hosted a BBQ, for some twenty plus guests.... 

There was no annual gathering in the Host Hotel parking lot, at the "Guard Rail" on Thursday this year, due to the inclement weather...... "What a surprise, it rained in York" !   So, all the meeting, and greeting took place inside...... Where else, but the Host Hotel Bar.....  The upside, I never saw the "Kick Off Party" so crowded...... And, it didn't take long before the WSRA group took over the pool tables...... With the likes of, "Fast Eddie" Christofaro, Ted "Musconi" Srubas, and the "Legend of the Lake" Freddy D.....  

The WSRA "Annual Friday Night Dinner" in the "Pavilion" facility overlooking the 18th green, at the Heritage Hills Golf & Conference Center, was once again a success...... The food was excellent, the views spectacular, and the camaraderie...... Priceless !!    WSRA Associate Members, and Members at Large.... Jack Fuller, Al Casteen, Rick Talbot, Doug Jones from VA....... Dick Felie from NC..... Harold Thompson, from SC..... Pete Christofaro, from RI...... And the crews from, Long Island, CT and NJ all made the trip to the Nats East, and the WSRA Dinner....  Plus so many friends of the WSRA.......

The Annual Friday Night Dinner started out over ten years ago, as a Beer & Sandwich get together, in the Holiday Inn parking lot on RT. 30 in York....... The quality, and level that this event has grown to, would not be possible, without the support of our friends.... It makes the extra effort worthwhile !   Thank you all.

WSRA's "Goodwill Ambassador" Harold Thompson befriended three Brits from the UK, who were traveling the USA on holiday..... After checking out the Hot Rod scene in California, they stopped in York on their way home to check out the NHRA Nats East...... Harold invited them to our Friday Night Dinner........It was interesting chatting with them, about the Hot Rod scene in the UK......  After fitting them with WSRA ball caps, they set out to check out the cars at the York Fairgrounds.....
