The tag line for The Rock’s 3rd Annual Auto Extravaganza is “The Cars Are The Stars,” and that is exactly what was displayed within the exhibit halls at Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock!

On January 23 – January 25, 2009, the event housed 17 of the most beautiful national award winning vehicles from across the country. These vehicles, or marquee cars as I like to label them as, are simply “works of art.” We want to extend a special thank you to Mickey Smith who is solely responsible for securing these types of vehicles, their owners and builders to join us in Little Rock during the three-day event.

In addition to the marquee cars that were on display, the quality of cars, trucks and motorcycles that were competing for awards during the show was absolutely first class. We received numerous comments from spectators that the quality of competition was as good as many they had seen on the national level.

LRCVB recognizes the endless volunteer hours provided by the Arkansas Pontiac Association during the show, and there stellar performance was critical during the entire weekend. We cannot put into words how much we appreciate them.

LRCVB also wants to send a “big thank” to 94.1, The Point for their support prior to and during the show! We want to particular say thanks for their live onsite remote for their morning show on Friday, January 23-they absolute rocked the house! Their wonderful radio station and the automotive event market simply fit like a glove. We also want to thank 103.7 The Buzz, Tommy and David, for the air time they allotted to us to promote the show.

The coverage provided by LRTV, KHTV, KATV and KARK prior to and during the show played a major role in helping us market the show to all audiences. LRCVB extends a big thanks to all of them.

We appreciate the print coverage provided by The Arkansas Democrat Gazette, as well as Arkansas Times. The show was selected as the Number 1 Pick of their top ten Things to Do section of the Friday, January 23rd issue.
