| This is a beautiful and rare streetrod. The 1946 Chevrolet
Fleetmaster had one of the lowest quantities manufactured of any
Chevrolet car of its time. The car has been frame off restored with
painstaking attention to detail. The gorgeous Lemon Ice Yellow with Platinum Pearl paint almost glows. It also features a great set of flames. The car is basically new except for using the 58 year old sheet metal body panels and chassis. It has less then 3,000 miles on it since completion. And these miles have been put on by primarily going to car shows so that it can once again take home another trophy. They have been smooth miles due to the entire suspension being rebuilt and it getting all new body mounts, weatherstripping, etc. The is no squeaks or rattles as it delivers a very smooth ride. The cars stance is similar to that of the old gasser hotrods. The power plant consists of a 350 cubic inch small block engine that has been worked over in a major way. It is balanced and blueprinted to 2/1000th tolerance. It features 202 Bowtie Heads, Roller Rockers, a Gear Drive, a Competition Cam, an Aluminum Manifold with a Holley 600 CFM Carburetor and Headers feeding into 2 1/2 inch exhaust with Cherry Bombs. The Turbo 350 transmission has been built to handle the engine's power and has a shift kit. It transfers the power into a 10 bolt rear end. This is all kept running cool with a Aluminum Sprint Car Radiator made by "Be Cool" that has an auxiliary electric push fan. The car has also been upgraded with a 22 gallon gas tank, a Mustang II IFS and power assisted front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The interior is done in a light beige tweed. It has Cadillac bench seat with the front having 4 way power. The head liner is new as well as the carpet throughout the car. New gauges keep you informed of everything. It also has all new glass with the exception of the rear window. Currently, it does not have the front or rear bumpers installed but they come with the car. This is a rare Streetrod and a car that will draw a lot of attention not only from the car novice, but also from the true car buff. It is a very smooth running, riding and driving custom car. You could not come close to building one this nice for the asking price of $28,500.00. (Negotiable). |
